I730 Ringtone Help. <-- NEWB lol

I am making the switch from an oldschool nokia phone to the Nextel I730. I am aware of the USB and Serial Cable, but once I purchase one, how do I go about DL'ing my favorite MIDI's to my phone? Is that possible, or do I have to purchase my MIDI's from Nextel only?

Please forgive my ignorance, but like the thread says I am a Newb

check out howard forums

the loader you can find in the stickies. just search before you post. you don't need to buy any midi's, there is a huge database in the ringtone and wallpaper section of the nextel subforums!any other questions you may have just pm!

I did as you suggested and I am DL'ing my own ringtones now.

Isn't that stealing?

Actually, it is not stealing. These midis that I believe we are both referring to are free midis or midis of my own creation. Not Midis from the Nextel website.

thanks i tried replying earlier. all the midis available are dl's from sites that ALLOW you to dl midis for free!! they have all been compiled in the ringtones section. most are even creations by other hofo members

Ok, I was under the impression that they were replicated from iDENupdate . Thanks for clearing that up.
