I have had the new Nextel I880 for about a week now. I am quite displeased with the limitation of 100kb on message attachments. The phone has been quite good otherwise. I was on the phone, just today, with tech support, cause the phone would not send a 98kb message. It was erroring with "message size exceeded.". this happens when looking at a particular image and selecting send from the menu. Its not even hitting the network, but it seems that tier2 support says: "that is within the threshold" and they cant change the "network" for me. I mentioned that my last phone was able to send messages, even excel documents up to 2MB. They seemed very happy that my last phone (i265) was capable of relaying an excel document, they added that the i880 is not able to send message over 100kb by design. I reminded them that in reality it cant send more then 98kb contradicting the instruction manual. seems they dont care. I need to find a solution short of writing my own java app to send messages off of my own server or I will have to return the phone. Any ideas?

Re: I880 Question
I just checked the mobile email enhanced version and it doesn't have the send attachment feature..
For text messaging I can't remember if that feature is something in the codeplug or system. You might want to ask arround and see if anyone has a higher version rss and can check the codeplug for restrictions.
