Hi,

I have had my blackberry for less than one year, so it still remains under warranty. It is in very good condition, but the other day I had it on my lap while sitting on a (fairly short) chair and it fell off. Once I picked it up the screen was completely white and fuzzy, you couldn't see a thing but everything still worked perfectly fine.

So I called rogers and they said they are sending me a new phone, and then I have to send them my old phone back. They said that once they get my old phone they will inspect it and if it was because of physical damage then they will charge me a fee of $250 for the new "refurbished" phone. The phone fell less then 2 feet and had a protective case on it, so I highly doubt it was from me dropping it.

Now if it was declared physical damage and I get charged $250, is there any way for me to send the phone back and get my money back? I think it's pretty unfair if the policy is that to even see if it is covered by the warranty you have send it in and take the chance of it being declared physical damage and paying a couple hundred dollars for the same phone you already have. If I have to pay full price for a new blackberry I want to at least get a different model.

Any advice or answers would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
