News: New pay per use text messages rates for Rogers

New rates for pay-per-use texts messages and additional messages that are sent above plan/add on allotment are going into effect via Rogers. The new rates for text messages that are received and sent that are non-premium will now have a rate of .20 each. This rate also applies to messages that are sent above the allotment in a text plan as well as add ons. For those on Value Packs, unlimited received texts are still free of charge.

Rogers customers who are on the postpaid have been notified but those on prepaid will be notified in mid-end of this month. Rogers customers will see a savings of up to 61% if they decided to take up this offer and it will benefit those who decide to go with plans that offer the unlimited texting as well as the Value Pack.

These new rates apply to all those who are not on an unlimited text plan or add on, those who tend to go over their add on allotment and pay-per-use text messaging customers.
