Was just wondering if I used the code that cahnges the ring time and
instead of inputting the cingular voice mail, I number input my home
number would this have a sort of call-forwarding effect or does
Cingular have a way of detecting this or would this penalize you on
    your minutes, etc.

The code with Cingular VM is:
    *61*+19084630020*11*15#

but changing the Cingular VM number to my home phone:
    *61*+11235551212*11*15#

    What implications would this have?
    TIA, Cranky

I can't help you there but I can tell you the built-in call forwarding is
costly, I paid $.40/minute when I tried out the "forwarding" feature of the
network, I was an ATT customer and the fine print allows them to charge
extra minutes even if you have plenty of any time minutes! Be aware.

Anyone know what Cingulars policy is. Or does anyone know of any
cheaper way of call forwarding with Cingular?!?

    TIA, Cranky

Cingular did, and still might, have a "Fast Forward" device, where it's
unlimited local call forwarding for 2.99/month.
