Why isn't there an "@" sign on the screen keyboard? It is a pain to
open the slider, to just add the "@" sign for the email address. I
actually find it faster to enter information with the screen keyboard,
then with my big fingers on the slide out keypad.

Isn't it "shift-2" just like on a real physical keyboard?

On my 8525, using the 'Keyboard' option below 'Block Recognizer' and 'Letter
Recognizer', '@' is to the left of '&'.

The @ symbol is to the left of the & key on the bottom of my 8525.

Sorry, pressing the shift key changes the upper row.
Now I have a second question. How do you properly sign off the
internet. After I receive my POP3 mail, or surf I can't see to close
the connection without having to "put the phone is flight mode, and
then take it out of flight mode. I don't nelieve Cingular charges for
internet airtime, just data, so that if the screen stays on a static
sight for 4 hours, you are not charged for it (unlimited medianet).

In the DFW area, in PIE, to the left of the bars showing signal strength is
a "U" for UMTS.
Touch the large 'U', not the small one over the signal bars, then select
'disconnect'.

Re: 8525 question
Press and HOLD the hang up button for "about" 5 seconds. It will
disconnect from data.

Yes, I noticed that today. I keep on pressing the "connected" icon,
rather than the one on the left of it (the "G" or "U". It appears I am
not getting charged for non-activity when I'm connected. Everytime the
POP3 email appears, the phone remains on data. It is also surprising
that in different parts of NYC (Brooklyn), there are some areas that do
not have the high-speed. You would think that all cells in a major
city would be high speed, rather than just certain neighborhoods.
