Verizon Push and Wait to Talk

I should know better than to get inthis discussion, but: Nextel is
available in the area I work in, but their coverage doesn't reach
where I live--always though I wanted the PTT thing, and was really
watching for Verizon ( one of my cell phone carriers) to get it--but
after I thought about it, the mobile to mobile deal, and N&W thing works
perfectly and is cheaper, and can't see a big lot of advantage in my
particular situation, but as others have posted, with the current
coverage what good is a nextel phone going to do you when you are away
from a metro area--I have suffered the spider web coverage area in the
early sprint days, but Sprint has improved especially with the new F&C
America--Nextel has some big blank spots, you would need an additional
phone with nextel. There is no doubt that for what nextel does, at
present, is the best, but its sort of like solar powered devices, if you
are in the right place its great, but for those of us not in that place,
at present, verizon usually has adequate cell service and at least a
rudimentary PTP system..and has others have noted, including myself, I
have had the (cell one, gte, and now verizon) for years, in my area,
their coverage,their c/s, straight forwardness, and inovative services
(here they were the first with N&W, all state coverage, digital, and
others) were usually, ahead of their competition. They didn't get as
big as they are by being worse--but I admit they are not perfect, and
the PTT is the Best current example..but hasn't most every aspect of
cell service (s) by all carriers improved dramatically over just the
last few years--I frankly hope that both verzon and nextel and whoever
else gets so much better that I can't tell who the best is--and I'll bet
it will.

Since this really has nothing to do with what eiter one of the two
posters were talking about, it really has little or no accuarcy of
it's own. And if you thought you were replying to me, that would

Yes I am a wireless engineer...no, I don't know it all and never claimed
to, but what were talking about here is elementary and basic, so yes I
do know what I'm talking about.
