    Re: 6310 modem

    hi!!!

i've used my 6310 for over 1 year now connecting to the
    internet
when travelling or at our countryhouse.
you need a laptop (or pc).
the connection between the phone and the laptop can be
    either cable,
infrared or bluetooth, depending of what you've got.
i use bluetooth, but have tried both infrared and cable.
    everything
    works 100%.
then you need your operators settings for an internet
    connection and
you'll have to decide about using gprs or not. i use
    gprs of course
as it's (at the moment) the fastest connection (43kb/s)
    we've got here.
we pray and hope for umts in the near future...:-)

that's all, and you are on!

    cheers,

    asta

Should be a DLR-3P cable. available all over the place. I have seen USB
versions, but these are less reliable than the official nokia version, get a
serial cable if your PC has a serial port.
