Back up Apps:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Scroll to Personal and tap Backup and reset
- To proceed, you need to be signed in with your Google account. If necessary, tap Backup account > Add account and follow the on-screen instructions
- Enable Back up my data to back up account data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your Google account
- Enable Automatic restore to allow apps to restore data upon reinstallation
Back up Contacts:
- Go to Settings
- Access Accounts
- If necessary, tap Add account to sign in with your Google account
- Select the desired account, and tap your email address
- Enable the Contacts switch
- Tap Menu > Sync now
Back Up Contacts on the SD Card:
- Launch the Contacts app
- Tap Menu
- Select Import / Export > Export to SD card
- Tap OK to confirm
Back Up Media Files
On a Google Account:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Photos
- If necessary, tap Sign in and register with your Google account
- If this is the first time using the app, choose to back up data over Wi-Fi only or Wi-Fi and mobile network, then tap Turn on
- Once signed in, tap Menu > Settings > Auto Backup
- Enable the switch at the top to enable back up
On a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Kyocera Hydro Air to your PC via USB
- On the home screen, drag the Status bar down
- Tap Touch for other USB options and make sure Media device (MTP) is enabled
- Open a Windows Explorer window on the computer, and locate the desired media files on your phone storage
- Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the computer
- After the transfer is complete, click the Mass Storage Device icon in the system tray and eject the phone storage
- Safely disconnect the phone from the USB connector
On a Mac Computer:
- Open the Internet browser on the Mac
- Head down to https://www.android.com/filetransfer/
- Click Download now
- On the Mac, run androidfiletransfer.dmg
- Drag Android File Transfer to Applications
- Connect the Kyocera Hydro Air to your Mac via USB
- Make sure the phone is connected as a Media device (MTP)
- Double-click Android File Transfer
- Locate the desired files on the phone, and drag > drop them to transfer
