Hi i have a 8gig micro SDHC memory card for my LG Optimus P500 and it wont read or reconize it when i put it in my phone but the card that came with it works perfectly.

The specs of the phone says it can read up to a 32gig card.
Do i need to format it on the phone or something or should it just read it stright off
The card works perfectly in my old phone a Nokia 5800XM just not in my LG P500
