The Motorola DROID was designed with a faulty battery back support system.
Over 3,000 DROID users have reported losing their back to their battery or ALMOST losing the back.
Verizon Wireless and Motorola cannot "fix" the problem, but they are trying to make it easier for customers who have had this problem and are trying to prevent other customers from experiencing this problem.
From January 1 to January 5, Verizon Wireless customers can get a battery door for their DROID free of charge via the website and through customer service. If the item states it is "out of stock" please visit a Verizon Wireless Communications Store to see what they can do for you.
Free shipping with online orders is included.
