Hey all,
I'm new here, but you all seem like a very knowledgable bunch so here goes. I'm just getting out of a 2 year contract with Verzion where by I was screwed into begin stuck with a defective T720 so I want to go with a different provider. I'm trying to choose between Cingular and T-mobile. Now if I went with Cingular I'd go with a V551 and it would cost me $150. If I went with T-mobile I'd get a V600 for free. Now Cingular told me the V600 was discontinued last year because of an RF problem, but the T-mobile people say they just started offereing it again and now the problem is fixed. I read reviews on both and both seem good, the V551 seems like it has a few more features. Can anyone give me some advice here? Is either one of these phones significantly better than the other? Is there any real reason to go with a V551 over this revised V600 that T-mobile is offering?
Thanks all

I've been with t-mobile for a little over 2 yrs and think their great, great customer service, great service (in my area) etc. I personally haven't heard any bad things about the v600 from t-mobile but thats not to say there aren't problems. The best way to handle this would be to call the providers and ask if there's any known issues with the phone you want. Chances are they'll tell you just so you'll buy a better more expensive phone, but they'll let you know either way.

Honestly, I haven't heard many if any at all good things about the V600. T-Mobile is definitely great, tho.

Even though i am biased, i cant believe the support for Tmobile on these boards. I work for Cingular, and i think Verizon is great. I think Nextel supports a niche. I sell phones all day long to tmobile ports because calls never go through outside of any city. Really there map is just awful, i dont get it.

I live near Boston, Massachusetts and have always had reception. No matter where I am. I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but I think that people who live on the East Coast get good reception with T-Mobile.
