I have a samsung a650. Is there any paticular reason why I can't log onto Get it Now? it keeps telling me it can't connect to the network.

I've had the phone for about 4 months now, and I keep trying to connect. Once I actually did get connected for long enough to get the ringster app... but it seems like that was a fluke because it never happened again.

is there something wrong with my phone?

I was having this same problem when I was on a roadtrip with a few friends. We were driving through Northern Virginia at the time...

Just wondering, where do you live?

I'm only asking because on the a650 (or ANY verizon phone for that matter) you MUST be in an area where your phone is operating on the 1X PCS band.

    SO...

Flip open your phone and look in the top left hand corner of the screen, if there is a green sqaure and inside is "1X" (minus the quotes) then you can use Get It Now, browse the internet, etc.

If you don't see the 1X symbol, what you can try to do is go to a more populated area. I'm not sure if 1X is available only in large towns and cities (I live in the suburbs, about 20 minutes away from the city). My get it now didn't work while we were driving through Northern Virginia (I had great reception though, 4 bars in most places). Once we got fairly close to DC though, it started working.

If you have 1X service where you live or use your phone and can't get it to work, well I would suggest taking into VZW and see if they can fix the problem.

I had this problem as well with my a650.

You probably need a software update.

I took my phone into a verizon store and they flashed it with new software and now it works.

    Hope this helps.
