Just recently received the Pink Razr for my girlfriend. It is verizon's v3c from what I am reading.

I am using a standard mini usb cable from a Sony camera. I have tried atleast 3 different drivers as noted on this page and forum.osnn.net. Everytime and every driver will find the phone fine, as the USB Motorola Modem. But the software I am using which is Handset Manager, BitPim and the basic version of MPT will not see the phone.

I may have to do the infamous update, update, update on MPT from what I have been reading.

3 Questions I do have are?

-All my other phones I have hooked up to my machines have loaded not only the Modem drivers but com ports, and USB drivers too. Usually like 3 or 4 things it shows as.......is this the same way with the v3c?????

-Is there anything locked out with the Pink v3c vs. the normal v3c?

-Finally as with other phones in the past once i installed the drivers and used BitPim and what not on the machine, if I wanted to install drivers for another phone it would be very difficult to release the drivers from the original. Most of the time it was easier to just load the new phone on another computer.....has anyone had this problem as well.

It is exactly the same phone as the original release V3c, just with a pink shell. The only way to know if you are locked out of anything is to determine the software version loaded on the phone. If the phone has GATW_01.0F.03 loaded, the chances are very good you are locked out of most everything. If you have GATW_01.0F.02, then you are in luck.

    Neon.....

Bare with me for I am tired, but I have re-read your post & I am unclear as to whether or not you're having an issue trying to get MPT to recognize the phone.

If that is the case, then is there another phone that you had previously connected to the same computer & used MPT? If so, then that Motorola USB Modem needs to be removed from the MODEMS icon under the control panel.

Let me know if your issue is something different.
