ok so my t-mobile phone just broke, so i had to bust out the old school v-70 swivel phone (pimpest in its day) but its like the volume just died, its barely audible when i hold it up to my ear, i can barely hear the keypad buttons pressing, also when im on the phone the people on the other line can hear me fine, but i cant hear them unless its dead silence, and then it still sounds like a faint whisper, how do i fix this?

i have an idea
well rob, i think your ear speaker is busted. what you should do is, replace it with another one at the shop or on ebay. or, take your phone back, if it is still under warranty to get it replace.

Your speaker may not be busted, being that it's sat awhile you may have collected some dust in the earpiece try using canned air to blow out the earpiece and that may be all you need to do.

Edit: Also try using the hands free device and see if you can hear on that (an easy way to tell if it's a hardware issue or not)
