Russian characters when using alpha keys?

Just got an unlocked Razr V3 and have set it to English under the setup phone area and everything is in english except when I try to program a name and number. The numbers enter fine, but when I go to alpha for the name, most of the characters are in Russian or something similar. I can transfer names and numbers in english through phone tools but not with the keypad. Help!!

Follow these steps.....

1. go to the screen where you would normally start typing a new text message
2. hit "MENU" & go to "ENTRY SETUP"
3. change the "PRIMARY SETUP" & the "SECONDARY SETUP" to "iTAP English"
