I really want to get a i580 (for the durability) but nextel does not have much service area around where I work and live. If I were to buy an unlocked could i580 on ebay could I use it for say Altel (the "best" around here). If so what do I need to look for other than the unlocked part. Forgive me for my lack of knowledge. I have no idea about the inside workings of cell phones I just know I want he 580 but don't want the nextel plan. I can live without the walkie talkie feature I just want the rugged phone.
