My co-worker recently got a Motorola ROKR as a work telephone. It's a great telephone, however, the provider put a lock on the camera, the media player, and file transfers. Whenever we attempt to access any of these things, a prompt comes and says "enter unlock code".
Another strange thing is that pressing *#06# doesn't show the imei number. *#067# doesn't work either, neither does *#057# (just some numbers I found from google, I know *#06# is always supposed to work).
I don't expect anyone out there knows the unlock code (I assume it was set by the provider?) but if there's anyway to get around it or to reset the phone to factory status (even flash it perhaps?) I'd like to hear about it. Thanks guys.

Re: Motorola ROKR Z6m
The lock code it is asking you is the security lock code. Thise locks were not implemented by the provider. Usually the code is the last four numbers of the phone number. SmartMoto and UniMoto may be able provide you with the code if you are running Windows Vista or Windows XP. If you have the the security lock code then you can put it in to gain access to the selected applications, alternativly you can remove the unlock code prompt by going to menu>settings>security>lock application and then change locked to unlocked
Also the *#06# does not work on the Motorola ROKR Z6m neither do most codes that work on different model motorolas.Last edited by MotoPhreak; 09-07-2009 at 04:53 PM.
