razr 2 v8 screen broke

So im getting a new razor2 v8 because my screen went out for the 4th time (it was my fault once because i threw the phone across the room..) but the other times the screen just died on me. The thing is theres scratches on the phone because i dropped it the 1st day i got it...I told the insurance comp. that there were no marks or anything on it. i didnt want them to think it was my fault.. the phone worked fine after i dropped it.It was a month later that the screen went out. Basically is there any way to get these scratches off my phone so they dont charge me $200 when they get the phone and see that it is scrathed? buff it? i dunno any sugg.?
