    Back Up App Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings
    3. Under “Personal”, tap “Backup & reset
    4. To back up account data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your Google account, enable “Back up my data
    5. If you want app data to be automatically restored upon reinstalling apps, turn on “Automatic Restore

    NOTE: Account data and settings will be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the account you wish to use for syncing contacts
    4. Make sure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with the backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the OnePlus 3 to your computer via USB
    2. When prompted, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, or enable the option from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Use the Explorer to locate the media files on your phone
    5. Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the PC
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the OnePlus 3 to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media device (MTP)” when prompted, or from the “Notification” area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files backed up on the PC storage and copy them
    5. Transfer the files on the phone, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
