Hi everyone,
I'm looking at getting a Motorola Razr V3m, which has bluetooth, and I
was wondering how I can use it with my iBook, which also has bluetooth?
Can I move audio back and forth? What about using the Razr as a
cellular modem via bluetooth or using iTunes on the Razr?
My provider is Alltel if that helps...
Thanks,
Alex

Assuming the phone isn't crippled as Verizon is fond of doing, you can
sync addresses, and move ringtones, wallpaper, and movies in and out.

I've got a Verizon Razr V3m, and it is crippled. I'm running a G5 Mac,
and the latest iSync can transfer iCal and Address Book data via
Bluetooth. But the phone has been disabled as far as file-transfers go
- check Howardforums.com for details, but the good Verizon people
purposely disabled OBEX (Object Exchange) so we'd have to pay for
ringtones and emailing pix.
PC users have a couple of programs that can connect, via USB cable, and
tweak the programming ("seem editing"), but I'm still looking for an
equivalent program for the Mac.

Any modding will probably have to be done through Windows,
unfortunately. Be sure to wash your hands when you're done. :-)

Just put a plea out for a Windows PC user in your locality who'd be prepared
to help you out. Or, consider buying an old "PC" just for piddling about
with your 'phone. Don't know what US prices run to for "old" PCs, I've got
several that are worth next to nothing but I'm England so can't help.
