6310i and irda on win 2k

Using pc suite that came with the 6310i I can't get a connection betwwen the
phone and PC

The irda USB dongle connects to the phone but when i go into connection
manager to select it Nokia suite hangs.

There is something on the windows site saying i should download 'IRCOMM' but
when i try it won't let me as it is for SP1 only and I'm on SP4.

Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated. Also let me know if more system
info is required

This may be a dongle driver issue. Make sure you have the latest one. What
dongle are you using?

had a similar problem - went to sigmatels site, d/loaded latest driver, no
probs after doing that.

Check its the latest version of PCsuite as well (v4.88 for the 6310i) as
this may cause problems too.

Use the Device Manager to check the version of the dongle driver that you're
using. The latest (and working) version is 1.26. You can get it here:
http://extranet.sigmatel.com/library..._08-19-02.zip.
After you install this driver, go into the device properties and change all
the parameters to their default values. Then it should work.
