Aussie tourist needs advice

Hello all,
My wife and I have a vacation booked for May/June this year (2011) and I would like some advice on carriers.
We will be traveling from Vancouver to Calgary via the Rocky Mountains.
I've purchased and installed the Navigon GPS software on my iPhone but I need an unbiased opinion on which telco to purchase a micro sim from. I'm looking for good coverage and a reasonable amount of data for email uploading photos etc.
Towns visited include Vancouver, Revelstoke, Jasper, Banff and Calgary before our flight to Vegas.
By the way, my iPhone is unlocked
