I was advised to Synch my iPhone 3gs data into my PC via iTunes. Do other brands also have to be synched? The Apple rep told me the procedure would take only a few minutes. After synching, I could not find my photos nor any data on iTunes. How do I know if all the data and photos are really on my PC? Then I foolishly clicked to upgrade my phone which took well-over an hour. All the time, my phone service went dead and except for a silver apple on my phone's screen; it was dead. A bar slowly moved from left to right. Finally, it was done. All appears OK with the phone. I still need to have confirmation that the phone's data is being kept by iTunes in case I lose the phone or it needs repairs.
