I think it really depends on your phone... Maybe a better resource would be your phone's manual? Or perhaps just going into a good o'l brick and mortar Cingular shop might be best. Then they could show you how.

If its anything like my manual, the instructions will be very general and vague. If a Cingular store is not busy, they're not too bad about helping set up your phone. There's a Cingular store on every other corner anymore, so if one store can't answer your question, maybe another can.

    Sounds pretty simple.

    From http://www.cingular.com/media/multimedia_messaging_faqs

How can I send a multimedia message to a handset from my e-mail?
Simply send it to your friend's multimedia messaging e-mail address. For Cingular subscribers, this address is [email protected]. Your friends will receive the picture and the attachments on their handsets if they subscribe to Multimedia Messaging.

Do I need other services with Multimedia Messaging?
Yes, you must also subscribe to MEdia Net and Text Messaging.

Why do I need to subscribe to MEdia Net?
Consider MEdia Net as the highway down which the Multimedia Messaging travels. MEdia Net bills separately from Multimedia Messaging. You can either subscribe to a MEdia Net package or pay per use. If you subscribe to the pay-per-use plan and don't ever use MEdia Net outside of Multimedia Messaging, you will never be charged.

Where can I send a multimedia message?
You can send your multimedia messages to a 10-digit wireless number or e-mail address. Although multimedia messages are best sent to other Cingular customers with Multimedia Messaging, they can also be sent to other text messaging-capable phones.

If you send a message to another phone that does not have Cingular Multimedia Messaging, your recipient will receive a text message with an Internet address for viewing your message online. Some wireless providers may choose not to deliver these text messaging notifications to their customers.

AT&T Wireless and Cingular customers can now share messages directly with each other that include text, photos, animated graphics, voice messages, music, and video clips, using the Multimedia or Picture Messaging feature.

What if I don't know the e-mail address or wireless number of the person to whom I want to send a message?
Simply save the photo in your camera until you have the information needed to send a message.

How long does it take to send a message?
On average, it takes about 25 to 30 seconds to send a multimedia message.

Why won't my video message go through?
Some video phones record up to 10 minutes of video. However, you will only be able to send short video clips through the Cingular network, roughly 300 KB or 30 seconds. To ensure that your video can be sent with Multimedia Messaging, go into the settings within the video recorder option on your handset and change the setting to the shortest option.
