I have recently upgraded to a V3 silver, I had a V220 before but it met it's death at about 35 feet.
Any way I am running windows 2000NT sp4 I have loaded the new verision MPT 4.21. I keep geting an error code 10 for the modem driver. I have tried to detect new hardware with no luck, I am stuck any ideas

Go into Device Manager and uninstall the phone and start over.

Call Motorola and ask for their MPT fix.

Re: laptop fails to detect V3
On one of the forums someone posted the MPT fix file, just do a search on connectivity.

Re: laptop fails to detect V3
Turned out to be a driver issue, for some reason it kept loading an old driver C:\winnt\inf\oem30.inf. I performed a serch on my hard drive and deleated it. Once removed I was able it install the updated driver usbmoto2000
I opened MPT and it did the rest of the instalition and has been running fine.
also note that the driver tool from motorla did not solve this problem, it took about 7 days off and on to solve the problem
good luck
