I have a sanyo scp-5300 and want to know how to enable the side volume buttons to function when clamshell is closed.

I used to be able to toggle the ringer volume when closed, while ringing. Came in handy when I forgot to put on vibrate. But for some reason it doesn't work anymore. Thinking that I must've accidently keyed in a disable code. Can't find any info on how to turn function back on in the manual or online.

I know it's an old phone, probably the reason can't find much info by searching online, but it stil works great.
