I have a K510i on which the camera suddenly stopped working. When accessing the camera, the camera menu shows for about 1 second and then returns to the main menu.
The camera driver is missing from the service file section.
I have run the SE Update several times and no camera driver ever shows up.
Questions:
1. Should the SE Update reinstall the missing camera driver?
2. What could cause a camera driver to suddenly go missing?
3. Could the reason the camera driver not showing up be caused by a loose connection? Doesn't seem likely unless the software needs to physically see the camera, but this seems unlikely. Camera has never been dropped or shaken.
4. How do I restore the driver? I've looked all over the web and nothing seems simple. Everything has to do with FAR, XS++, copying files, installing programs, etc. Is there any place where one can simply download the driver and install it in a one step process without going through all this arcane stuff?
Thanks.
