Hey guys I'm new to the forums and have a bit of a dilemma on my hands so I need some advice. I currently have a sidekick 3 which is beginning to fail in function as a result of 2 years of use. After using a coupon for a free month, my service has been extended until next spring and I need a new phone ASAP. Basically my options are buy another sidekick to stay with my data plan and not extend my contract as well as to comply with the sidekick data plan that I pay for now or get a new phone that can work with the data plan. I saw the samsung behold today and really liked the phone. I was wondering what data plan the behold utilizes and if I were to buy one from somewhere other than tmobile would I need to change my data plan to use it. I would appreciate any and all advice, remember I don't want to extend my contract and if there is a way to use the behold with my current data plan that would be ideal. Happy Thanksgiving

    Re: Which Data Plan?

i think the only way to keep your data plan is to get a sidekick because I Think the samsung behold is on its Own data plan (like how the blackberry got their own data plan). so if you need a new phone, i think you would have to get another sidekick to keep your current data plan. and i don't think they would make you extend your contract if you were to swap data plans?

last time i upgraded my sidekick 2 to a samsung t319 (i don't remember lol) i took out the data plan because i didn't need it anymore - and then a year later i bought the sidekick 3 and put the plan back on there and they didn't extend my contract. i think the only time they extend contract is when you upgrade your phone, but i'm not sure though.
