P990i Debranding and removing simlock

Hi,
I have a possibility of getting a P990i on Orange for a decent price. Could
anyone tell me if it's possible to remove the Orange menu ie get it the
software that came with the original post as well as to remove the simlock.
The phone is from a friend of mine from Poland and Orange charges 500 zlots
(that's 95 quid!!!!) to get the simlock removed from any of their phones and
that's just plain daylight robbery. Thanks for your help.
