For all those that are freely giving out your IMEI numbers... This is a BAD idea. Someone could potentially use your number to sell a stolen phone, report your phone stolen and have your phone deactivated, or worse, clone your phone and rack up a very large phone bill for you.

I would just call your provider tell them you are traveling out of the country and they will give you the code. I agree you should not post sensitive info here just to get the code....but thats just my 2 cents.

I agree that posting this information is not the best idea. Sending a private msg might be better. What I am curious about is who are you getting free imei unlocking codes?
The only way I know is to call your provider and tell him that you are leaving the country and want to keep your phone. Other ways will cost you money $. In any case, it is very nice of you to provide this free service.
