    Hi everyone,

It sounds weird but I decided to get a cell phone just now. I'll probably go with cheapest plan with rogers or fido, and sign up for 3years and get a free phone.

Is it possible to negotiate on plans?

Some people in this forum have a better plan like retention plan? How does this work? I don't understand this. I sign up for a three years contract and after a 6 months or so if I call CSR, will I get a retention plan? My understanding is that since I had signed up a contract and cannot break it, rogers do not have any incentive to give me a better deal.

With Rogers they will only think of giving you a retention plan AFTER your contract has expired. Otherwise dont even think about it. Why would they try to keep you if you are not even a customer? I might be able to get you a few dollars off a Fido invoice if you want to Private Message me that would be great!
