Have read the unlock the phone thread. Actually I've poured over threads on the internet for HOURS and nothing seems to apply or work.
So I know I am not allowed to ask for an unlock code but......
My teenager put a phone lock on my phone a while ago when she borrowed it (I wasnt aware she had put a lock on) and last night it went flat, when I charged it and turned it on it asked for the 'phone password'. Teenager now doesnt know what it was
I took the sim out and put it in another phone (the sim isnt locked but I have the PUK for it anyway) so I can still use my number in another phone.
But I want to use my Samsung wave, not my oId phone, and now it's locked up and I cant use it at all.
I have tried all the codes in the sticky thread but as soon as I put in a # it comes up saying unsupported character PLUS it just wont let me put in more than 8 characters total.
I cant even get the IMEI number cause it needs a #
Please tell me there is a work around for this, especially if it means my data will be saved as there are messages I need to access for important information.
All help appreciated

Re: How to unlock when the # is 'unsupported'?
ok, well go the IMEI no. off the back of it lol but still no go with accessing the phone itself.
have called my carrier and disabled the handset just on the offchance when it gets reenabled perhaps it will not ask for the password, maybe be reset? Worth a shot I thought.
