I am thinking of getting a Sumsung E700 with my next contract, are they any good. I've got a T-100 at the moment, which is ok. Is the E700 a step up or just the same in a different casing.

With dimensions 90 x 45 x 23 mms and 86 grams the most attractive E700 is one of the smaller and more lightly mobile the korean company made, with the first glance attracts the purchasers with his charm elegance, which lends a particular charm of the exterior screen of 256 colours of appliance, analysis 96 x 64 pixels. Of course this news of clamshell phone Samsung will be first that gives the possibility in the user of making preview photo in the exterior screen while in the characteristics of the mobile camera they are included video recording (limited duration), the 5x digital zoom but also the Night mode which allows the photographing in spaces without intense lighting. Also via the 5-way D-Pad that dominates in the centre of appliance and is encompassed by a impressive dark blue lighting when the keyboard remains active, you can navigate throygh the mobiles menus!

Java technology is also supported by this model of Samsung as also and services of EMS and MMS what you allows to be shared your beloved scenes through mobile. The memory of appliance is separated partly.. dynamically and reaches the 9MB for photographs pulled from mobile, MMS and files of sound while they are provided moreover 600KB for applications Java. Also it deserves it is marked that in the appliance they can be stored until 200 written messages and until thousand registrations in the telephone list.

To the sector of sound the SGH-E700 goes equally well as it supports polyphonic melodies of 40 tones, while an other important advantage that allocates they are infra red that render the transport of data between mobile and PC most rapid. The li-on battery of 800mAh appliance offers time of speech until 3 hours and time of waiting roughly 230 hours, while the classic operations as the Organizer, Calculator and chronometer could not be absent from the delicate creation of Samsung in question. Finally, for the most exigent users the appliance allocates WAP 2.0 Browser but also support GPRS (4+2). Only disadvantage is the luck of Bluetooth!

The SGH-E700 sure has stolen a lot of hearts from the first day of his presentation, not only for extremely achieved design and his exterior innovations but also for the lots of possibilities. It remains therefore we see how much it can overcome their strong future competitors in his category and vindicate the Samsung.

It is a very nice phone, my friend has one. I really like the external LCD screen, but it is quite expensive.

Got mine yesterday to replace Sony Ericsson T68i on O2 upgrade. Superb phone, good interface, great screen and sounds. Only real omissions for me are lack of voice dialling and e-mail client.

The e700 is a great phone but I think the sounds isn't better than the sound on the s300 or the c100. There is just something wrong with the sound...... But the camera is one of the best at this moment only the stanbytime is a bit bad.

    E700

I just brought an E700. Great phone with better functions than the T100 i.e... Can store 200 text messages and u can group multiple numbers to one name in the phonebook which is a lot less hassle. BUY ONE!!!

i have the E715.. It's so awesome.. everytime i take it from the holster and flip it open, all eyes come on me.. its so weird.. it even turns more heads than a nextel.. the E715 looks exactly the same as the E700 except for the external lcd is not color. the E715 is also less expensive (i got mine for $124 with a $125 rebate from T-mobile)
