Okay so today i went out and my battery was FULLY charged right when i took it off the charger.. I call a friend of mine and we speak for about 1 hour, IF that.. and as we are talking, my phone beeps and i get the message "phone powering off, please recharge"
um okay?! my phone WAS fully charged, on 3 bars 1 hour ago. Theres NO way a phone i paid close to 500 dollars for, works for 1 hour and then dies out. That cannot be possible... is it??
Those of u who have sanyo 9000s, how long do your batterys last, starting from a FULL charge, all the way to a completely drained battery where it shuts off? I am not understanding why this happend. Ive never had a phone shut off after 1 hour of talk time only. Thats insanity!!!!

Just a side note, Renée, your reception/signal strength during the call will also determine how long your battery lasts. If you have poor reception it uses more battery power to stay connected, and if you happen to be roaming it will use even more power. Also your backlight settings make a difference. I turn my screen backlight off at night because i can see the screen without it, and i turn the keypad backlight off during the day.

I didnt know that! I totally forgot something, I did speak to my friend for an hour BUT prior to that phone call, i did use the same phone for about 20 minutes or so to speak with a friend in Florida, and all the while i had PERFECT reception BOTH phone calls.. Could long distance be a factor?
I also keep my backlight and keylight off all day and night, i dont need it. I keep the backlight on for 5 seconds, and thats it. It automatically shuts off whether the phones open or closed and i like that cause it saves battery power!R.i.P MB.LD.AA

did you charge it on home charger or car charger? most home chargers do a very slow low amperage charge, while auto chargers are usually rapid chargers that top it off quickly. it has been my experience that the rapid charge doesn't last as long.
(no provable facts, just my opinion)

Renee,
How is your 9000 working now? You recommended that phone for me if I stay with Sprint.
