is there a difference between voice command and the other thing that the VGA1000 comes with? i dont want to pay for voice command if they are the same thing.

Yes there is a difference. Voice Command is not just Voice Dialing although that is part of it. With Voice Command, the phone does not have to recognize your voice.

Also VC will store your phone book online so if you lose your phone or it is stolen, or buy a new one the phone book transfers easily.

VC will also read your email to you as well as info from the web so you can get info hands free on the web using voice prompts.
