Re: Any Reviews or Comments on Sprints EVDO service?

I do not have an aircard, but do have an EVDO enabled phone (and had another previously) My Moto Q9c had gotten speeds of up to 900kbps and my new Samsung Instinct gets around 500kbps (due to its browser being s***ty if you know what I mean). The demo units at Sprint and Best Buy for the Aircards however show speeds of up to 1.2Mbps which is pretty impressive, and the uploads are quite nice running approximately around 200-300kbps in the Columbia, MO area.

    Hope that helps, Chris

As trying it I know that Sprints data service really is good. If you are planning on traveling alot I would check coverage maps and see if you will have EVDO where you go. The important thing is to try it and if it does not work for you take it back and try someone else.
Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.

In Chicago the EVDO Speeds are really fast.
    Buy a REV. A USB Card (597)
I say USB, because it uses 50% less power from you laptop then a slot card (1000 millamp).

I don't think any of us can tell you whether or not Sprint data services will be good or bad for you without providing your location and the areas you wish to use your data card.

Give us a location and I'm sure some of us have used EVDO service in those general areas before and can give you feedback.

It varies on location, Being Sprint. I know in my area Sprint has Fair Coverage both Mobile Broadband and Voice. If you live in a big Metropolitan area, I'd say you should get it.
