I really cannot say that I DON'T want push to talk, or that I DO want push to talk. I just know that I am fine without it. As long as I have my bluetooth earpiece so that my hands are free and I got unlimited T-mobile to T-mobile I'm A-O-K.

Since almost every US carrier is getting PTT, one would expect T-Mobile to get it also. However, I can tell you from personal experience that many customers leave companies like Nextel, Sprint, Cingular, and US Cellular everyday in order to switch to T-Mobile.

T-Mobile offers more minutes, more features, and more service. You wind up getting more value than with most companies.

Most customers are upset about the high bill that comes with PTT. As you may or may not know, PTT is an expensive feature. You can only use PTT with people who have a PTT handset, and they have to have the same company as you.

Even though Sprint and Nextel have merged, you cannot use a Nextel phone to chirp a Sprint phone. The technologies are different.

With unlimited T-Mobile to T-Mobile, why pay for an expensive PTT feature when you can have a true conversation?

RRODRIG30 is right. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure that T-Mobile will eventually come out with the PTT service, but when they do not many customers will have it because of the M2M. M2M will most likely be cheaper than the PTT service and also not everyone around you can listen to your conversation.

Yes, that too. The beeping, chirping, and then a police scanner-type conversation going on around you is annoying. I don't want to bash this service, I just don't think I would get it.

I was thinking of getting a Boost phone. I have a cousin who lives in another state. He's got Nextel. That means I would be paying $50 monthly just to talk to one person. No thanks, I'll just call him.

    Spoken like a true T-Mobile rep...and i agree Rodrigo...

I use both Cingular and T-Mobile and if i had to drop one right now it would definitely be Cingular, reasons? as per your post, T-Mobile gives me more for my money as well as a very comparable network if not better now here in So California...

Boost phones won't talk to a nextel phone? Even though Boost is Nextel's pre-pay?

So than you can only use boost to chirp only people who have boost, but not Nextel?
This is crazy. Is that really true. I wouldn't expect to be able to chirp a Sprint or Cingular phone, but at least my cousin who has Nextel.

Of course you can, I don't know why he thinks that, but any Boost phone can chirp with any Nextel.

    That is not correct:

If you're a Boost customer you can chirp a Nextel user and vise versa....
However, you cannot use a Nextel sim card in a Boost phone (need to unlock) but you can use a Boost sim card in a Nextel phone...go figure.

Hey man don't worry about a thing. We all have different likes and dislikes. If you like PTT, by all means go for it, I mean why not?
