Can the Audiovox SMT5600 be used with T-Mobile?

Does anyone know if this is possible and does anyone have an opinion on this phone? Thanks in advance.

If the phone is unlocked, or you get it unlocked, yes. As for the data or messaging, don't think so. You may be able to update the settings with the T-Mobile SDA's, but I'm not sure. You can try here: T-Mobile Wireless Data Configurator

Thanks, quick question, I just went to the link that you sent and the 5600 is listed, does that mean that it will work? I have another post, do you know anything about the service (T-Mobile) in Hawaii and on a cruise ship?

Hello again, I went to the link to program my phone but it will give me a pin number but then it will not do anything else. The instructions say that it will dispaly a message on my phone but again the phone does not do anything. Help?????? Thanks in advance.

I got a unlocked SLVR L6 (no iTunes) and the service took like 5 minutes to send me a message to my phone. After I tried in 3 times in a row...
