Hey guys,
I heard T-Mobile will launch this phone on the 12th in BLUE. looks like a solid phone, I've been wanting one with a better camera than crappy VGA so hopefully this is the ticket. My question is I'd prefer it in the RED color, if I buy a red one off eBay is there any difference between that Rizr Z3 and the official one T-Mobile will release on the 12th? Would hate to get an old version or something...

Re: Moto Rizr Z3
I would just get it from ebay since the phones have no major difference and ebay is cheaper. On top of that, if you get an unlocked z3 from ebay, you will be able to use it oversea as well.

Just keep in mind that if you get an unbranded version you will need to configured it to be able to send picture messaging and use the browser as well as T-Zones.
I wouldn't say E-Bay is necessarily cheaper.
The Rizr averages anywhere from $220 to $300 on E-Bay, with T-Mobile most likely will be $150 after rebates....don't quote me on that.

Re: Moto Rizr Z3
hey Tony,
Thanks for the reply I was wondering about that... how much trouble is it to do? Can i just stop by a tmobile store and they'll set it up or is it a huge process with an unlocked one to get it setup properly?
I definitly do want to picture message and tzones and such, would like full functionality as if i purchased it from tmobile (locked to tmobile)

No problem......
Yes T-Mobile will help you configure your phone, or you can just use the T-Mo Configurator and that will have your Rizr set up in no time, if after that you need further assistance you can always come back to us and we'll help you with that.
Here's a link you you can take a look

Re: Moto Rizr Z3
You have to be aware that you will not be able to config any phone on the t-mobile website. Sometimes, you have to give up some special service features in order to have a better lookin or better functions unlocked phone.
No matter what, getting a phone from a t-mobile direct store WILL be the more expensive way, plus they do not always have the phone you really like. However, buying an unlocked phone else where, like Ebay then take the phone to some t-mobile stores, they will give you cash or credit rebate. After all, This Is The Cheaper Way.

Let me also remind you that the OP's question is about the red Rizr's difference between the unbranded version and the T-Mobile branded version..
not about illegal rebates...so you need to stay on subject.

I guess I just want some clarification on your points here so I can better understand why you are making the statements you are.

You should really visit the Asian cellphone market, they have the best deals.
Just for your information, Chinese indirect stores on north coast generate around 68% of the total sales for T-mobile. I am wondering how they are doing so much better than others and the corporate stores as well.
I am aware of the forum’s topic, but it is good for some people to learn something everyday, correct?

I'll tell you what i know though, ask the person that was posting prior to you on behalf on your company to stop registering under multiple usernames ( "Goweagle" ring a bell ??? ) or both of you will be banned....no more warnings.
