Hi
I have recently started using an E900 on Vodaphone.
The predictive text is driving me nuts: whenever I'm in T9 mode, and
add punctuation, it jumps out of T9, and back into ordinary mode,
therefore forcing me to manually reselect T9 mode.
This is annoying: how do I keep it in T9 mode?
Cheers,
Keith.

Re: Samsung E900 on Vodaphone: Predictive Texting
Hi,
I'd not heard of any reported issues with this happening on an E900
before today. The standard guide for activating the T9 feature is as
follows:
Press Menu > Scroll to "Messages" > Press Select > Scroll to "Create
Message" > Press Select > Scroll to "Text Message" > Press Select >
Press Options > Scroll to "Input Method " > Press Select > Scroll to
"T9 Ab","T9 AB" or "T9 ab" to turn predictive text on Or Scroll to
"Ab","AB" or "ab" to turn predictive text off > Press Select.
Having now checked around the internet it does appear to be a known
issue with the E900, e.g. the below thread:
http://mobile-qanda.com/forums/3342/ShowPost.aspx
I've spoken to Samsung customer services and their technical team say
it's a case of selecting to reply through the menu options rather than
selecting the centre button directly. I've not got this handset myself
so don't know how effective this will be although it could still be
something for you to try. They've also suggested pressing the * key
before beginning the reply text.
If you need to contact Samsung directly yourself it's possible to get
in touch on 08702 420303
Hope this helps.

Re: Samsung E900 on Vodaphone: Predictive Texting
Hi, thanks for your reply.
I've followed your suggestion, and the phone still behaves in the same
manner, i.e. it sets itself back to standard text mode whenever
punctuation is entered.
I'll give Samsung a bell when I get time.
Thanks again trying to assist.
