Just been to Voda's site to order the £20 150 anytime and 500 text Pay
Monthly Simpack, and I came to the Ts&Cs.
The first clause of the Pay Monthly Airtime Ts&Cs read:
"Continues for the period of 12 months running from the date of the
connection of your mobile device or your upgrade or recommitment (as
appropriate) unless your price plan specifies a longer period, in which case
the longer period applies."
Now, I thought I was going to be signing into a ONE MONTH contract, NOT a
TWELVE MONTH contract, as implied by that first sentence.
Are these Ts&Cs just standard for all purchases from the online store or are
they pulling a fast one?
I'm pissed off with them already for this confusion to be honest, as I was
going to buy this Simpack today to prevent haviung to put another £10 on my
o2 Simcard...
Thanks all :-)

What you thought you were paying a one off fee of £20 for twelve months?

Er, what confusion.?....it says "continues for the period of 12 months"
not "1 month".....or have you missed the important bit off?

Well, considering the Simpack page states a 30 day contract, and then the
Ts&Cs state a 12 month contract, that is why I'm confused. Am I signing
onto a 30 day or 12 month contract?!?!?

Re: This is very very misleading
No, paying £20 per month, for every month that I stay on the Simcard, but
having the option to cancel when having given notice, as long as it is after
the 30 day contract has ended.
The Ts&Cs threw me off course by making me think that it was still a 12
month contract I was signing into, even though the webpage states 30 days.

The first sentence says nothing about the length of the contract. It
simply says that you "pay monthly" which you do.

So what is the "12 months" in place for?

erm, it's instead of saying "a year", isn't it?
......unless I am COMPLETELY missing your point

Thats the length of the contract.
The first sentence you used in your OP was:
> £20 150 anytime and 500 text Pay Monthly Simpack
which makes no mention of any contract length.

The webpage for their pay monthly Simpacks states a 30 day contract, yet the
Ts&Cs state a 12 month contract.

links for the two incongruous statements

The Simpack page stating a 30 day contract:
http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/index.cfm...cks.paymonthly
Once you add the pack to the basket, and enter your details, it takes you to
a T&C page withe two sets of T&Cs. The bottom set for use of the online
shop, the top are these, stating a 12 month period:
http://online.vodafone.co.uk/dispatc...ageID=PTC_0003
There is one checkbox to accept both.
