HI My son rec'd a new W200i for Xmas and was gutted to find that it was
locked to Vodafone and he can't use his Tesco sim card in it.
I've had a quick Google and there seem to be a few people claiming to
unlock for £20+ unfortunately he's a kid and doesn't have £20 to spare
and I can't help out with all the Xmas bills to pay.
Is there a cheaper or free option? I can understand a network locking a
subsidised contract phone but can they really get away with locking a
PAYG phone that has been bought outright?
Any help appreciated, happy Christmas

If anyone in your family is on vodafone get them to ring vodafone and
ask for the unlock code. If they ask how long you've owned the phone
for say over a year and they'll do it free. You'll just need to
supply them with the IMEI.
