I've got a Nokia 6136 that used to be on contract with BT Mobile/BT Fusion
(who use the Vodafone network) and as the contract has now ended I've ported
the number over to Asda Mobile PAYG (who also use the Vodafone network)
My problem is that when I get an incoming call it only rings for about 15
seconds before switching over to voicemail - not too much of a problem for
me but my wife has the same problem and it definitely is *not* enough time
to find it in that cavernous handbag of hers )
When we started the contract with BT mobile 18 months ago, they gave us a
sequence of numbers to dial that increased the ringing time (to 30 seconds
IIRC) but I can't remember what they were. Anyone know how to increase the
ringing time?
Cheers,
John

to set a voicemail divert to a longer time you can use the GSM
sequence
**61*[voicemail divert number]*11*[number of seconds from 5-30]#
so to set a 30 second divert on O2 you would type **60*901*11*30# and
just call this number. I do not know the voicemail number for asda
though.

Thanks Ian, that's brilliant. Voicemail number for Asda in case anyone's
interested is 121.

**61*[voceimailbox number in international format]*11*[delay in seconds]
