How do others read this? If I go to my account on Cingular and ask to
see my minutes, I get a table such as:
Feature: Airtime Usage
Allowed Used
Extended Local Area
Nwknd 0.00 2.00
Home
Daytime 0.00 441.00
Nwknd 5000.00 227.00
To keep an eye on my usage, I have been watching the number at the
"441.00" position but when I called customer service they said that
this is not my "Used" minutes but my "Over" minutes. That is, I am
441 minutes over my allowance. The Cingular clerk said I should
"simply substitute the word "over" for the word "used" to understand
this.
Does this sound deceptive or misleading to anyone but me?

I think "Used" is all you have used, allowed and over. If Allowed is zero,
then Used is indeed Over.
I do find it odd that you have no Allowed Daytime minutes -- what kind of Plan
are you on?!

Uhhh . . . he's already gone way over his allowed minutes. Thus he has zero
allowed at the moment. All of the used minutes are overage charges. -Dave

That makes no sense.

Well, it is kind of confusing. If he hadn't gone over his allowed minutes,
he'd show zero minutes used, but some number of minutes allowed. -Dave
