Hello all,
My phone, a V551, has some pretty good ringtones that came with it. The
problem is they are too quiet. The standard ones are loud enough, but
the others are too soft.
Has anyone edited ringtones?
They are just sound files. I should be able to download them from the
phone, convert to wave or something, normalize the amplitude, convert
back, and upload to the phone.
Has anyone done this? What formats are standard? What software tools
are good?
I have MPT, PST, P2KTools, and MotoKit with a USB cable to the phone. I
can find the actual files, I am sure.
Thanks for any pointers,
Barry.

Take a look at Audacity <http://audacity.sourceforge.net/>, which
should let you do what you want. I've found it an excellent tool for
editing ringtones.
