Yes... it's because of three reasons. SPCS changed their philosophy and got
rid of all the pre-pay dead beats and stopped charging those deadbeats
charges to those deadbeats. Then they improved their coverage and plans.
Lastly, ole Phillipe stopped posting bogus posts here.
So, your point is ...?

Bologna. This newsgroup was chock full of POSTIVIVE message and inquiries
totalling the hundreds a few years ago. Obviously the promises of Sprint
have gone up in smoke.

Really? That's funny, because all I really remember are the majority of
posts being about:
-horrible customer service
-contract woes
-long hold times
-equipment problems
-coverage issues
Maybe the lack of these in great numbers has led to the reduction in posts.
Phillipe and his 100 ID's leaving also cut the volume by over half in less
than a week.
And before you start thinking about Verizon, you might take a look at the
posts over at alt.cellular.verizon- many more complaints these days than
there are here. It is actualy starting to look like the 24 hr. *****
session this group used to be.

Verizon is an active newsgroup because Verizon has many more users. With
more users comes more complaints. The axiom that Verizon has a better
network in New York City is undebateable....if someone is *****ing about
their service in North Dakota I really don't give a damn.

In point of fact, he didn't.
What he *did* represent was the opinions of many contributors to this
newsgroup.

Actually, it is NYC coverage that is among the complaints. You could see
that yourself, but your need to act like a mindless dick (maybe its not an
act) might cloud your view.

I thought you were quitting SPCS. If that's the case why are still
grousing on this board?
Buh-bye.

But with less than twice as many subscribers, the complaints outweigh those
on the Sprint group at about a 4 or 5-to-1 clip, and encompass the entire
coverage area of VZW.

Would someone mind telling me the facts behind Phillipe leaving the group?
He is the main reason I left and am just curious.

Re: About to leave Sprint
Really? Verizon has better service in NYC? Well, I live in NYC and I have
heard NOTHING positive about Verizon from ANYONE I know. I've heard better
things about Nextel and that completely amazed me but never had I ever heard
anything good about Verizon and I've lived here my whole life. When ever
someone mentions Verizon, even people I over hear on the street, they are
always *****ing about something with them. Always bad and nothing good means
to stay away to me, maybe it means something else in your language.

Verizon LANDLINE probably is getting all of the complaints. Verizon WIRELESS
shouldn't be all that bad.

Re: About to leave Sprint
Bob Smith and company were the few that blamed any argumentative post on
someone that was once real, but became to be a figment of their imaginations.
Could one person actually get 150 ID's. Why bother?
By argumentative, I mean, was anything that was not seen as Sprint Praising.
It must be noted that many abusive "halo wearing" posters such as Veldhouse has
left also. He was always "the best" at keeping an argument going, by foul
language and veiled threats. I think the group deserved to turn into a
waseland, because
ARGUING is the only REAL thing most posters enjoyed doing. Name calling and
punctuation correcting was far more enjoyable, than question answering or fact
giving.
I can see the old group coming round though.....
Threads like "About to leave Sprint", give me faith that the group WILL NEVER
CHANGE. New posts should only praise Sprint. There are to many stock
holders hanging out on this board, they only have blinders on, and Sprint can do
NO WRONG Dammit!

I disagree. It wasn't so much SPCS praising, but clarifying the OP's
misconception of wireless service, the limitations of wireless service, not
reading their contract or that they didn't follow through with the 14 day
trial period, etc.
The only thing that could be considered praising by the regular group of
posters would be providing coverage information in their local areas.
As for that little toad Phillipe ... before he left this group in Aug/04, he
had used 143 different IDs to avoid kill filters. If you doubt that, I still
have my list. He is / was a lying troll, who made false accusations and
tried to impersonate other posters here.
In looking over the thread you posted on May 27th, Phillipe changed his ID
twice ... in one thread. Don't believe me? Here's the link -

Only to those, like Phillipe, who trolled the group, and those who couldn't
accept the fact that they screwed up themselves.

Stockholders? Don't recall anyone here who mentioned that they owned a lot,
if any, FON stock.
As for SPCS doing no wrong, all of us here have mentioned a problem or two
that we had with SPCS in the past, and got those problems fixed to our
satisfaction.
