Interesting! I had no idea. I'll keep that in mind if I ever repair it.
(It unfortunately "synced" itself with a concrete tile floor which broke
the USB charge/sync jack loose. My quick attempt to resolder it was
unsuccessful, hence my purchase of the Tilt, which is a much better device
in most, but certainly not all, ways.

Weird. I just assumed that it'd work because of the inclusion of WModem,
but the Cingular/AT&T forums on AT&T's website are full of people that
    can't get it to work.

Yeah, constant WiFi use on these babies really makes them toasty. I
stopped using Navizon (a quasi-GPS nav program for non-GPS phones that uses
WiFi to locate you) on my MDA because it got so hot the battery stopped
    charging!

My pleasure. While I said I was giving up, stuff like this nags me enough
I'll revisit it when I get some spare time! ;-)

Ouch. Too bad about your "old WM5 Wizard" because to this date I haven't
seen a PPC/Phone with better Stereo speakers than it has. Also it is a
bummer that the wiring for the headphone/microphone jack on the Wizard is
non-standard. That non-standard wiring was my biggest bummer about the
Wizard and I rate that as worse than no Stereo BT or no SDHC cards.

BTW now that I remember more about that "Modem Link" program with the Wizard
I think I read somewhere it's main purpose was just to keep "Activesync"
from running when you are using a USB. That would explain why it isn't
    needed for BT DUN.

Bummer. I'm going to see if the unlocked Touch Diamond sold at Best Buy can
be use used for BT DUN. I hope I can find that out with out opening a
    package..

WMWiFiRouter gets so warm on a Mogul that you can have a hotspot in your
pocket and have a hotspot in your pocket. :-)

You've already answered my primary question about the BT DUN on the Tilt so
    thanks again.

Did you try hacking the BT DUN hack on your Tilt? I'm not sure whether it
works or not on the Tilt; it does work on some other models.

    See

    Also see

    Points.
