w580i problem

well i was walking then all of a sudden my phone screen went blank i thought the battery was dead but then all of a sudden it turned on then for a few seconds turns off then it does this again non stop. does anyone know whats wrong? or what i can do to fix it

This sometimes happens with Sony Ericsson phones. Try re-inserting the battery and booting the phone - that should do the trick

how do i boot the phone? u mean just reinstall battery and turn it on or what?

Yep, just take the battery out for a few seconds, pop it back in and then turn on the phone . If that dosn't work then it might be a firmware issue.

Let the battery sit out for a second and take the time to blow on everthing because my phone is a dust magnet!

I purchased a Sony 580i White cell phone recently for my wife. I didn't get insurance on it because she usually takes good care of her phone. She dropped it in the toilet and I dried it all out and when I turned it back on it worked but would say low battery one minute and full the next. I got a new battery at overstock.com. Put it in charged it and worked fine. That night my wife went to plug it in and it wouldn't charge. It said please put a sony ericsson battery in. I take out the battery and put it back in.Plug it in and it charges. I haven't tried since then. I will check it again tonight. Besides that it works all day. Here is what I ordered from overstock.com:
