Please confirm my understanding...

Hi there...I plan on upgrading to a BB Curve soon, my first smartphone.

This is what I've gathered in regards to wi-fi and T-Mo services that I would like you guys to confirm for me.

From what I understand I can access the internet on any unsecured wifi network without having the web add-on service. Does this include email access as well, again w/out paying for the service?
Being able to setup email account(s) is simply a phone function on the BB, correct?

In other words, on a Wifi phone such as the 8320, is the $20 web/email add-on service simply a price for using the Edge network in the absence of a wifi connection?

If that's the case, I think I would try that first being that these features are more of a want than a need. As of now I have wifi access at work and at home.

Thanks for your help...
